We have been tasked with creating and designing a brand and brand guideline for a new product to be put on the market. The product: a bold and modern tequila with a passionfruit flavor. This book is an insight into the process of creating and designing a brand, and the conversations around the decisions being made. This project was completed in collaboration with three fellow students at North Central College.
Step One

The first issue was finding a unique name that engaged our target audience. We targeted people in their mid-twenties, living in a metropolitan area, who enjoying partying. We went through many variations, the spread below describes our decision process.

Step Two

With a name chosen, our next step was to create a logo/wordmark, keeping in mind the brand descriptors.

Step Three

With wordmark and color palette finalized, our next task was to select a typeface to pair with our wordmark to say “PASSIONFRUIT TEQUILA.” See the spread below to look at our options

Step Four

When choosing colors, we experimented greatly before landing on the final pink, yellow, and blue. See below for those experiments and our eventual final pick.

Step Five
To wrap it all up, we compiled a branding guideline that laid out all of our design choices, and some mockups to showcase the final result.
